ABOUT THE COURSE

The Mission of the Department is to provide aesthetic practical and moral education to the students by means of literature and language. The department offers Hindi as a foundation course or an elective course at Bachelor’s level and also assists in developing the communication skills and in personality development by Organizing Various Seminars, Workshops, debates and lectures. It gives a platform to the students to express themselves. Students association organizes various programmes such as Hindi Divas, Tulsi Jayanti, Stage Dramas and Kavi Sammelan. It also organizes lectures from eminent personalities from Indian Literature on various occasions. The department has a practice of inviting reputed personalities for lectures and seminars.

WHY HINDI

Hindi is the national language and there is an increasing requirement of language professionals who have a thorough knowledge of Hindi. Hindi is a mainstream subject and the graduates may pursue higher studies and get decent jobs as academicians. Knowledge of Hindi is also required for writing many competitive exams such as civil services and other governmental exams. Students may also establish themselves as writers, editors, translators, communications and speakers at reputed organizations.
